Julian Draxler celebrates scoring for Germany against Slovakia

Christian Eriksen continued his hot streak by giving Denmark the lead, but with just two minutes left, Joshua Kimmich's overhead kick earned Germany a draw.
Playing more or less a second XI, Germany struggled to get anything going in the first half; though they enjoyed plenty of possession, it was Kevin Trapp, making his debut, who was called into action first, tipping Jannik Vestergaard's volley over the bar. And on 18 minutes Denmark took the lead, errors from Matthias Ginter and Antonio Rudiger allowing Eriksen to drive home with confidence and ease.
For much of the second half Denmark were the better side, Frederik Ronnow forced only to make two fine saves from corners. But just as the hosts looked set to celebrate a useful win, Amin Younes' cross wasn't properly cleared by Jens Stryger Larsen and the ball ricocheted to Kimmich, whose snap overhead kick flew into the net for the equaliser.
So, with World Cup qualifiers to come at the weekend, Denmark will travel to Khzakhstan disappointed but with confidence fortified, while Germany will feel they've a good chance of beating San Marino.

TALKING POINT

How should managers address friendlies? Jogi Low knows his side will win on Saturday, and also that they will qualify for the World Cup, so took the chance to experiment. It is not entirely clear what he learnt, but it is certianly more enjoyable to watch players trying to earn their futures than established internationals who can't be arsed.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Joshua Kimmich (Germany) Was actually quiet through the game, but with no outstanding candidates, man of the match can only go to the player whose brilliance made you squeal like a schoolboy.

KEY MOMENTS

15’ - What a save Trapp! Denmark win a free-kick on the left and Eriksen delivers a typically menacing ball into the box which Vestergaard meets with a leaping volley, eight yards out. The connection is true, too, but Trapp flings up a strong arm to prang the ball over the top, and eventually the eventuating corner is cleared.

18’ - GOAL! Denmark 1-0 Germany (Eriksen) He is playing with so much confidence at the moment! Ginter plays a silly pass from out on the right touchline into the middle, Sule manages not to control it, Rudiger's headed clearance arrives into the path of Eriksen, and he drives first-time - into the ground, it must be said - but when you're hot, you're hot, and the ball skids and flies inside Trapp's near post.

35’ - It's all Germany now, draxler powering a low skidder towards the far corner from 20 yards out ... Ronnow turns round the post and eventually the corner is cleared.

52’ - Denmark move the ball from centre to right, and Jorgensen knocks back and infield to Eriksen. From the corner of the box, he whips towards the far post, but the ball sails just wide.

53’ - Another excellent save from Trapp! Durmisi turns rudy inside and out then snaps a cross into the middle of the box ... Poulsen and Hector both slide in, and the ricochet is tipped over by the keeper!

60’ - This next corner is from the right and Ginter meets it beautifully, running towards the near post to glance a header towards the middle of the goal; Ronnow reacts quickly to turn it over the bar.

88’ - WHAT A GOAL! Denmark 1-1 Germany (Kimmich) Kimmich, a fabulous talent, has been quiet tonight, but when Younes slings a cross sin from the left and the headed clearance hits Stindl, he flimgs himself into an overhead kick that flies past Ronnow. Brilliant opportunism.
