Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant is set to sign for non-league Billericay Town, according to BBC Essex.
The 34-year-old will apparently sign a two-year contract with Billericay, who are at the seventh level of the English game.
Pennant is set to turn out in their pre-season friendly with Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Pennant – who played in the 2007 Champions League final for Liverpool – will join fellow former Premier League players Paul Konchesky and Jamie O'Hara in moving to the non-league club.
Pennant was released by League One Bury at the end of last season.
The Billericay wage bill will apparently increase to £30,000-a-week with his addition on a deal reported to be around £3,000-a-week.
