Joachim Low believes Germany can take a lot from their November internationals, despite not being able to craft a victory after needing a stoppage-time equaliser from s ubstitute Lars Stindl to secure a 2-2 draw against France in Cologne.
Die Mannschaft became only the second European team to win all 10 of their World Cup qualifying matches en route to securing a place, but looked on course for a home defeat after a double from Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette had put France 2-1 ahead following Timo Werner's equaliser.
Borussia Monchengladbach frontman Stindl, though, would have the final say when he coolly converted a flick on by Mario Gotze.
Germany coach Low had made six changes to the team which played out a 0-0 against England at Wembley, and was happy enough with what he saw as his men extended their unbeaten run to some 21 internationals.
"I am very satisfied with the two test games. We have achieved good results against two strong opponents at a high level, because both England and France have excellent individual players," Low said at a press conference, as reported on Germany's official website.
"It was important that we did not become nervous today after going behind and kept to our own game.
"If we are able to play with pressure, then we can also get good chances.
"Playing the ball at the right time is a great art in football, and we solved that very well today."
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Gotze also felt Germany should take plenty of encouragement as they fine-tune preparations for next summer.
"That was a positive story for us and was a step in the right direction," he said.
