The centre-back has been struggling with an ankle injury, but Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says that Terry is fully fit and in the squad for the weekend’s game.
Chelsea have been deploying a back-three in recent weeks in the absence of Terry, but the captain's return could see the Blues revert to a back-four... or see Terry tasked with adapting to a new defensive system.
"John is in good shape," Conte said in Friday's media conference. "He trained with the team. He solved his problem with his ankle. He's available for the game."
Chelsea have won their last two games without Terry and hit five goals over the course of wins against Hull City and Leicester City.
