Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has named a strong team for their League Cup fourth round clash with neighbours Manchester City at Old Trafford.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba all feature for United, who will aim to bounce back from the harrowing 4-0 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.
Mourinho used his programme notes to apologise for that showing at Stamford Bridge – and will desperately hope his side can progress against a rotated City side.
Vincent Kompany slots into central defence for the visitors, with 19-year-old Pablo Maffeo and striker Kelechi Iheanacho also handed starts. Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan are on the bench.
Manchester United: De Gea, Valencia, Rojo, Blind, Shaw, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Pogba, Rashford, Ibrahimovic… Subs: Romero, Darmian, Fellaini, Schneiderlin, Lingard, Memphis, Young.
Manchester City: Caballero, Maffeo, Otamendi, Kompany, Clichy, Fernando, Garcia, Navas, Nolito, Sane, Iheanacho… Subs: Gunn, Kolarov, Adarabioyo, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Sterling, Aguero.
