Northampton win 10th straight, Oxford and Stanley in promotion fight

Oxford United notched yet another win to aid their promotion bid. Cheyenne Dunkley put Oxford in front after 12 minutes, then Jordan Bowery deposited a pair before Alexander McDonald found the back of the next to send the visitors 4-0 up against a shocked Exeter. The home side managed a late goal, but the match was well over and Oxford had already wrapped up the three points.

Northampton are well on their way to winning League Two after their 10th straight victory. James Collins and John Marquis each scored to push Northampton to yet another win that has them eight points clear atop the league.

Notts County gave Accrington Stanley a scare, but home side held on for a win that has them in the automatic promotion fight. Rommy Boco scored a couple goals and Stanley were 3-0 up, but Notts scored a pair and had 10 minutes to find an equalizer. Stanley did manage to survive the threat and with the win, are now just three points back of Oxford for the final automatic promotion place with two matches in hand.

John Akinde drew and scored a penalty for the only tally as Barnet held off Portsmouth at home. Barnet remain comfortably mid-table with the win, while Portsmouth's promotion play-off hopes were dealt a blow.

Plymouth Argyle had hoped to take three points away from home, but Yeovil Town had other ideas. They fought for a point and that's exactly what they got, moving them out of the relegation zone.

Paul Robinson moved Wimbledon into a promotion play-off place with his goal against 10-man Carlisle. Wimbledon went up a man five minutes into the second half when goalkeeper Mark Gillespie was sent off for taking down Tom Elliot after being rounded. Robinson headed home the ensuing corner kick to push Wimbledon into fifth place.
