Having gone through basically every colour of the rainbow with a succession of garish kits since 2010, Madrid opted for the only remaining choice: grey.
Well, actually the club are officially calling it 'Silver Glory' as a mark of recognition for the "colour of trophies" Madrid are so adept at collecting.
Adidas say it is "a tribute to all the trophies that Real Madrid have won in their history and all those that are still to come."
Some might uncharitably suggest it's more likely a harbinger of the boring football Madrid might play under Rafa Benitez this season.
To us it looks rather like a bog-standard t-shirt you might pick up from Sports Direct for £10. And the reaction on Twitter wasn't particularly favourable.
