Besiktas confirm talks to sign Barcelona's Adriano

Turkish champions Besiktas have confirmed they are in talks to sign Barcelona's Adriano.

The full-back had been heavily tipped to join Lazio, but the messy fallout of Marcelo Bielsa's sudden departure as coach has allowed Besiktas to swoop in for the player, as noted on their official website.

The 31-year-old, who joined Barca from Sevilla in 2010, was due to travel to England with his Blaugrana team-mates on Monday, but the rapid nature of negotiations may see him opt out.
