A FIFA agent has claimed “if Carlo Ancelotti stayed at Real Madrid,” Lazio would likely have sold Felipe Anderson this summer.

The Brazilian talent was also wanted by Manchester United, but the Aquile kept hold of him and extended the contract to 2020.
“I thought Anderson was madness, but instead he’s been a great buy for Lazio,” agent Dario Canovi told 1900 TV.
“In April Ancelotti was telling me all about him. If Ancelotti had stayed at Real Madrid, the Spanish club would’ve made an offer for Felipe Anderson that Lazio could not refuse.
“Unfortunately, the situation at Lazio is a repeat of what happened before. When the club needs to make big investments, instead there’s a step back. They had to invest to reach the Champions League, but didn’t and lost the play-offs.”
Lucas Biglia has reportedly rejected a contract extension amid interest from Manchester United.
“If there really were important offers, then clearly for a player of his calibre it matters to join a big club. I don’t believe the newspaper talk of an offer from Real Madrid, as they already have two of the best creative midfielders in the world.
“Manchester United’s interest in Biglia makes sense, though.”
