James Rodriguez: I don’t know when I’ll return from injury

The Colombian has missed the past month after sustaining damage while on international duty at the beginning of September, but – despite not being able to give a date for his comeback – he is confident he is on the right track to full fitness.

“The recovery’s going well,” he told Marca outside Madrid’s Valdebebas training complex.

“I don’t know if I’ll be back for the next game, I’m still a little way off.

“[On the reported bust-up between Rafa Benitez and Sergio Ramos], what happened with Ramos?

“I don’t know anything, but there’s always been a good atmosphere within the squad.”
