Zinedine Zidane responds to Pogba speculation: 'Real Madrid always want the best'

Los Blancos are one of the teams strongly linked with the Juventus midfielder and while manager Zidane stressed that the France midfielder remains contracted to the Old Lady, he acknowledged the club’s desire to sign players of his calibre.

“Is there a chance? I don’t know, we’re here working. Anything can happen until August 31. He’s not a Madrid player yet. We can’t talk about what might happen. I always say the same to this question. This isn’t the time to talk about it,” Zidane replied, reports AS.

“Everyone is interested in Pogba. He’s a great player and when you’re Madrid you always want the best. But you have to respect some things. He’s a Juve player and today I can’t say anything.

“It’s hard for Madrid to improve their squad, we’ve always had the best. We’ve won with this squad. There are good players, and things can always be improved, and always will be at this club. There are always players who can improve the team.”
