Alexandre Lacazette has suggested it is possible that he will still sign for Atletico Madrid but wait until January until their transfer ban ends.

France's forward Antoine Griezmann (L) celebrates with France's forward Alexandre Lacazette after scoring a goal during the friendly football match between France and Paraguay on June 2, 2017 at the Roazhon park stadium in Rennes, western France.

The forward announced a few weeks ago that he would be leaving Lyon at the end of the season, with reports suggesting that he had been lined up as the replacement for Antoine Griezmann had he moved to Manchester United.
However Atletico's transfer ban was upheld which means that they cannot register new players until January 2018, similar to what happened with Barcelona where they signed Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal in 2015 but didn't register them until January 2016.

Speaking exclusively to Eurosport, Lacazette said that was still an option for him.
“It is possible, it is a possibility that we can not exclude," the forward said.
On the decision he said: "Like everyone else, I heard the news. The decision did not turn me upside down, life goes on.”

It has also been reported that Lacazette could move to a different club following the decision over the transfer ban, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund all mentioned as possible destinations.
Lacazette told Eurosport that Liverpool and United could "be an interesting option". He added: "It's [the Premier League] a beautiful championship with interesting teams. For now, these are just rumours." He also said that Borussia Dortmund is an interesting option, adding "Dortmund are a big club."
