Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has poured cold water on the transfer rumours linking him to Manchester United, again.

The Griezmann to United transfer has quickly turned into a saga and has been going on for some time now.
Just as reports grow that a deal is getting close to signing, Griezmann gives quotes to the media that this is not the case.

After United's Europa League victory, thereby guaranteeing Champions League football, reports stepped up that United would now move ahead with their bid to sign Griezmann.
However Griezmann tweeted on Friday night saying that 'The rumours are unfounded. I am always Colchonero [an Atletico player] My direction will be decided after I have spoken with my sporting advisors.'

OUR VIEW

Griezmann hardly helps himself with this sort of thing, regularly hinting at a possible move or teasing United fans, only to later claim that he is frustrated by the constant rumours.
Of course this frankly absurd social media back and forth is just part of the modern day transfer saga, which United simply adore after signing Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic last summer.

Unfortunately it just appears to be the way football is going so it's best to buckle in and brace yourself for more of this until Griezmann's future is decided.
