Real Madrid and Karim Benzema are the most toothless attacking duo in La Liga, and one of the worst partnerships in Europe.

Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid CF react after Cristian 'Portu' of Girona FC scored his team's second goal during the La Liga match between Girona and Real Madrid at Estadi de Montilivi on October 29, 2017 in Girona, Spain.

Spanish paper Marca have run the numbers and discovered that Benzema and Ronaldo are struggling compared to almost every other attack in the biggest European leagues.
The only worse pairing is Benevento's, who have only managed six goals between the whole squad in Serie A this season.
The Real forwards have only one league goal each this season, as the side struggle to match Barcelona and Valencia ahead of them.
Such poor form is unusual for both players, as by the same stage in past seasons, they have always scored at least goals together. Last season, they had 12.
For comparison, PSG's Edinson Cavani and Neymar have 22, Lyon's Nabil Fekir and Mariano 20, Barcelona's Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi have 22, and Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowksi at Bayern Munich have 14.
Real Madrid have the fewest goals in the Spanish top three, with 22, while Valencia and Barcelona are on 32 and 33 respectively. Real trail Valencia by six points, and Barcelona by 10.
