Memphis Depay tweets farewell to Manchester United as he completes Lyon move

Dutch winger Memphis Depay has tweeted his farewell to Manchester United as he completes his move to Ligue 1 side Lyon.

Memphis signed for United in the summer of 2015 from PSV but he initially struggled under Louis van Gaal and he has slipped further down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.
According to a report from the Guardian, the fee between Lyon and United is £14.7 million but it could potentially rise to £21.7 million with add-ons whilst there is also a buy-back clause.
His unveiling is due to take place this afternoon but in the morning Memphis sent a series of tweets about his departure.
He wished his old club well and stressed his support for United, as well as how much he was going to miss close friend Luke Shaw.
At his unveiling it was revealed he will wear the number nine.
