Radamel Falcao scored to give Monaco their third straight win of the season, but Kylian Mbappe was dropped amid transfer speculation.

Striker Falcao scored the only goal of the game for a 1-0 win, but the club had to do so without Mbappe.

The 18-year-old French international has been linked with an imminent move to Paris Saint-Germain, and other top European clubs.

Monaco finished last season winning 12 league matches on the bounce, and reached 15 by defeating Toulouse and Dijon before Metz in the first three games of 2017/18.

Monaco are the defending Ligue 1 champions for the first time in 17 years.
