In front of a record-breaking attendance of 2,152 at the Academy Stadium, Bronze scored in the 41st minute to give City the lead, after a decent start by the Blues, missing out on a couple of chances.
Though US international and 2017 Ballon d’Or winner Carli Lloyd just missed out on her second opportunity of the night moments before the end of the game, the visitors failed to claw anything back.
Bronze’s third goal in City’s first ever Champions League campaign doubled their aggregate score to 2-0, seeing them through to the semi-finals where they will play Lyon.
The first leg takes place on April 22 or 23 and the second a week later on April 29 or 30.
In the other semi-final, Barcelona will take on Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the final at the Cardiff City Stadium on June 1.
