Ludovic Giuly: Kylian Mbappe 'more professional' than Lionel Messi at same age

Giuly, 41, was part of the Barcelona team that claimed Champions League glory in 2006, and was at the Catalan club when the Messi made his debut.

And ESPN report that the former Roma, Monaco and PSG forward has been so impressed by Mbappe's maturity at such a young age that he feels the 18-year-old has a better understanding of his body than Messi had at the same age.

"Leo had a lot of problems with his health as he was growing. It was more difficult for him. Kylian has the advantage of knowing himself better and being able to recover better.

"The club kept him out of the limelight for two years and he burst onto the scene at 17 in Barcelona.

"With Kylian, it's the same thing. He has huge potential. He has everything it takes to be a great. He's professional, and he has the right mentality.

“He made the right choice to join PSG in order to grow."

Mbappe moved to PSG on loan from Monaco in the summer after a stunning debut season at the Principality club.
