Luis Enrique admits Barcelona’s 3-0 Champions League defeat to Juventus was “very similar” to the 4-0 at Paris Saint-Germain.

“It was a difficult first half,” he said commenting on Paulo Dybala’s brace in the opening 22 minutes, adding, “[it was] very similar to the one in Paris and the second was much better. If you gift the first half, then obviously you’re going to have problems.”
Speaking to Mediaset Premium, he said: “A Coach does everything to help the team and prepare them, but evidently I did not. We have to improve, learn from these mistakes, analyse the game carefully and realise where we went wrong.
“It’s the second time this has happened. It’s hard to think of a remuntada, but we’ll try to get back on our feet and put in a good performance in the second leg.”
Though the Blaugrana were able to turn their round-of-16 tie around, eventually winning 6-1 at Camp Nou, they may be lucky to do so again in the second leg against Juve on April 19.
Asked about the performance of Neymar who learned earlier in the day he would receive an extended suspension following his sending off against Malaga on Sunday and a subsequent incident, Enrique said: “It’s not good to pick on single players after a defeat. It’s a defeat for the whole team, starting from the Coach.”
Meanwhile captain Andres Iniesta told the Spanish press after the game the team did not “feel as bad as we did in Paris,” adding,“we’ll turn the tie around if we do things as we need to.”.
Iniesta admitted things had gone badly for his team, and told reporters: “We did things badly, especially in the first half,”
“The Champions League punished us with their two goals, but something else was seen from us in the second half. We deserved to score, but it means little now.”
On their chances in the second leg, he said: “Juve are a good team, but when you don’t do things well, it penalises you a lot.”
