Lille have parted company with coach Marcelo Bielsa, the Ligue 1 strugglers have announced.
Bielsa was provisionally suspended by the club last month and, following d isciplinary proceedings, Lille confirmed on Friday they had severed ties with the 62-year-old Argentinian.
A club statement read: "Following the conclusion of proceedings against Marcelo Bielsa, Lille announce that he has broken the contract that tied him to us as coach."
Bielsa, the former Argentina, Lazio, Marseille and Athletic Bilbao boss, took charge of Lille in the summer but when he was suspended Les Dogues were second-bottom of Ligue 1 after losing seven of their opening 13 matches.
Reports in France at the time also said Bielsa went on an unauthorised trip to Chile to visit former national team assistant Luis Bonini, who was battling with stomach cancer.
Joao Sacramento, Fernando Da Cruz, Benoit Delaval and Franck Mantaux have taken joint charge of the team, picking up six points from a possible 12.
