Mario Balotelli trolls Brendan Rodgers after Q&A joke

The duo departed Anfield with their reputations shattered and, although both are now firmly on the redemption pathway, it appears the former still holds a grudge.

Rodgers, now Celtic gaffer, caused a stir at a Q&A earlier this week by joking the Italian was the best player he had ever managed.

Word quickly reached Balotelli, who in turn delivered his own false praise, claiming Rodgers was the greatest manager he had ever worked under.

Rodgers brought Balotelli to Liverpool in a £16 million move in 2014, a decision that proved disastrous for both parties.

However, the 44-year-old recently oversaw Celtic's ascent to the Scottish Premier League title – with his side four games from an unbeaten season – while Balotelli has helped fire Ligue 1 side Nice into next season’s Champions League.

Who knows… maybe they’ll reunite one day?
