Cole moved to Roma from Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer of 2014 but has struggled for playing time at the Stadio Olimpico.
The left-back only made 11 league starts during the 2014-15 season and has been completely frozen out by Roma manager Rudi Garcia this season.
ESPN report that Cole's lack of playing time at the Rome club is a result of his refusal to cancel his contract over the summer.
The LA Galaxy reportedly will offer Cole a non-Designated Player contract but also face competition from New York City FC.

OUR VIEW

This move would seem to make sense for all parties. Roma get a player they clearly have no use for off their books, LA Galaxy get a very able footballer and Cole gets to wind down his career in Los Angeles.
Cole was lauded for making the move to Italy and rightly so, even if it remains rather curious why it has not worked out as expected.
