Jose Mourinho lamented what he called 'incredible' defensive mistakes during Manchester United's 4-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Pedro, Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante all scored as Chelsea recorded an emphatic victory on Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking after the game Mourinho made it clear that he didn't feel that the team had played poorly but that there were disappointing individual mistakes that cost the side.
"We made incredible defensive mistakes, I say incredible in capitals, individual mistakes. You end up paying for that.
"It started bad and after 30 seconds we are losing 1-0. It was close to 1-1, we make a mistake and they score a second.
"If we had 10 more minutes we would be close to 4-1 and they would score again on the counter.
"We had no problems, we had control of the game. But control is dangerous as Chelsea have players for the counter attack.
"The globality of the performance is good football, dangerous positions, half chances."
United stay seventh in the Premier League and they now face Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday before hosting Burnley on the weekend.
