Paul Pogba has backed team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic to return to his best, despite the Swede’s expected departure from Manchester United.
The 35-year-old scored 28 goals and provided 10 assists but his season was cut short by a knee injury before the Europa League final victory against Ajax.
Ibrahimovic should make a full recovery and insists he wants to stay at Old Trafford despite having 'lots of offers' from elsewhere yet it is has been reported he is unlikely to be retained by manager Jose Mourinho.
Pogba, however, believes that the Swede is still a great player and adds a lot to the team.
The Frenchman told Sky Sports: "He is a player who helped us a lot from an athletic point of view as well as from the mental side on and off the pitch.
He's a wonderful person, incredibly funny, I only spend great moments with him.
"On the pitch he is a winner, he added this mentality to our team.
"He scored a lot of goals this season, nobody would have thought that given his age.
"He was unlucky and suffered a bad injury but he won three trophies with us. He will always be Zlatan."
