The Spaniard is reported to have slapped Spurs players in the groin at the end of a highly-charged encounter that handed the league title to Leicester City.
The Telegraph also reveal that Guus Hiddink had to drag the former Barcelona midfielder off the pitch in order to defuse the situation at full-time.
The Chelsea interim boss attempted to play peacemaker and appeared to be bundled to the ground during a melee outside the tunnel.
Eyewitness reports claim that Fabregas was the main instigator of the bust-up, with his actions sparking a number of verbal and physical reactions.
Hiddink claimed afterwards that the 28-year-old was shouting 'threatening' words in Spanish, that would have incensed the majority of the Spurs management staff.
The former Arsenal captain had already publicly announced he did not want Mauricio Pochettino's side to win the league while he was acting as a pundit on Sky Sports last month.
