Newcastle United fought back from two goals down at the break to claim a vital point against Liverpool in their battle to avoid relegation.
Daniel Sturridge stunned the travelling support with a wonderful chest down and strike on the turn to put Liverpool ahead in only the second minute, his fourth goal in as many starts.
And the excellent Adam Lallana doubled the lead with an equally emphatic finish, curling an unstoppable shot into the top corner on the half-hour.
Newcastle looked dead and buried but another goalkeeping blunder from Simon Mignolet gifted Newcastle a goal back before Jack Colback fired the visitors level via a deflection off Dejan Lovren.
