United destroying Leicester to lead 4-0 at half-time, Rooney watches from bench

Manchester United opened up a stunning 4-0 lead at half-time against Leicester City while Wayne Rooney sat watching on the bench.

The big news prior to kick-off was that Rooney had been dropped by Jose Mourinho and with the captain sidelined, United turned in a sensational performance.
Chris Smalling headed United into the lead on 22 minutes, Juan Mata finished off a brilliant team move on 37 minutes, Marcus Rashford tapped in from close range on 40 minutes and Paul Pogba opened his account on 42 minutes.
