Saido Berahino's West Brom future remains in limbo after his club rejected two deadline day bids from Tottenham, prompting the forward to threaten to go on strike.

The Baggies striker claims he will never play for the club again, assuming the West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace isn't going anywhere fast.
After seeing Spurs' final offer in excess of £22m rejected, Berahino tweeted: "Sad how i cant say exactly how the club has treated me but i can officially say i will never play Jeremy Peace."
Baggies chairman Peace rejected four bids in total from Spurs for the England Under-21 forward and turned down the Burundi-born player's transfer request last month.
Peace was unforgiving in his stance, unmoved and unwilling. Albion released statement after statement reiterating the club's stance.
It was a dream for journalists everywhere, who gobbled up and reposted the statements. But as a result, that hell-bent mentality has left one disgruntled Berahino at the Hawthorns.
"I said selling Saido so late in the window was not on our agenda," said Peace, who did little to keep the peace between player and club.

The Baggies were said to be unhappy with Spurs' approach to the deal, which only strengthened their resolve to keep Berahino.
Of course, Spurs made a mess of the deal and the window as a whole, but Albion could have prevailed as a result.
Daniel Levy's antics could have done West Brom and their chairman a mighty-meaty-massive favour, surely?
The cash could've been reinvested into the squad or simply have partially paid for Tony Pulis's summer outlay, which came to £36 million.

Salomon Rondon's goal against Stoke, and the Venuzelan's current Wikipedia stats, suggest Albion, who also snapped up Rickie Lambert this summer, won't be exactly bereft of goals without Berahino.

EURO 2016

Berahino looks to be frozen out the season before England's Euro 2016 quest. It's not great timing.
The frontman has been left out of West Brom's last three squads as a result of the speculation, with boss Tony Pulis insisting he was not in the right state of mind to play.
Spurs were searching for more firepower to help Harry Kane and, despite signing Son Heung-min from Bayer Leverkusen, maintained their interest in Berahino.
He scored 20 goals last season and earned a call-up to the England senior squad, but missed this summer's European Under-21 Championship with a knee injury.

TALK TO MORGAN

Maybe Berahino should have had a quiet word with Morgan Schneiderlin about this one.
Wayne Rooney's already found time for that this week. Schneiderlin got his head down for a season after that tweet, before securing his swashbuckling deal to Manchester United.
The striker would've been better biting his tongue and letting his football (and goals) do the talking.
As for Berahino's tweets, we prefer his trips to the local safari park.
