Bakayoko, 22, has reportedly been on the Champions' radar for some time now and according to reports from the Telegraph and the Mail he is expected in London over the weekend.
A report from L'Equipe says that the fee for Bakayoko will be €40 million and the Telegraph's report mentions that his move to Stamford Bridge could pave the way for Michy Batshuayi to move to Monaco either on loan or permanently.

The Telegraph report also adds that Bakayoko's move could see Nemanja Matic move on, with the midfielder linked to Juventus and Manchester United, but Cesc Fabregas is keen to stay with Chelsea and fight for his place.

OUR VIEW

The FA Cup showed the world what a lot of Chelsea fans have known for a while, N'Golo Kante has carried the Blues' midfield this season.
Matic has been wildly inconsistent whilst Fabregas is too much of a liability unless Chelsea are playing against a smaller team who is sitting deep.

Bakayoko has proven this season that he has the ability to do it against the very best in the world and he's ready for a move to a bigger club than Monaco.
He should relieve a lot of the pressure on Kante and give Chelsea the depth required ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.
