Alexis Sanchez on future: I'm happy in London, but want to play for a winning team

Sanchez's future has been under intense speculation with his contract due to expire at the end of the 2018 season.

He has been linked with a move away from the club, with Juventus, PSG, Bayern Munich and Premier League rivals Chelsea all reportedly interested.

Speaking at a PR event Sanchez was asked about his future and he said that he wants to play in a "winning team".

He is quoted by Argentine sports magazine El Grafico as saying "I am happy in London, and I hope to finish my contract at Arsenal.

The Chilean has reportedly fallen out with Arsene Wenger and some of his team-mates because of his win at all costs mentality but the club have denied these claims.

Sanchez is one of a number of players who is out of contract within the next 18 months including Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey.

The implication here potentially is that Sanchez would consider a switch to London rivals Chelsea.

One of the changes that has come about after the influx of money into the Premier League is that players don't move between big clubs as often as they used to. Aside from Juan Mata and Petr Cech leaving Chelsea, there haven't been too many others.

Not only would Sanchez change that, he would represent a huge shift. It would be on a par when Ashley Cole left the Gunners to move to the Blues. Arsenal still haven't filled Cole's void, Chelsea and Cole won the Premier League, four FA Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.

If Diego Costa has his heart set on a return to Atletico or a move to China then Sanchez could be the perfect replacement. He has the same fire and desire and he would make Chelsea more fluid.

The Blues were exciting when they had Pedro, Willian and Eden Hazard as a fluid front three, and Sanchez could take that to a new level.
