The group joined calls for Wenger to end his 21-year tenure this summer, though reports suggest the Frenchman is set to sign a two-year extension at the Emirates.
The AST reported that there was huge respect for Wenger, having guided Arsenal to Premier League glory on three occasions, but the poll totalling 550 members showed how support for the 67-year-old has deteriorated.
The figure of 78 per cent comes 18 months after 84 per cent of AST members backed Wenger following the 2014-15 campaign which saw them lift the FA Cup and finish third in the league.
The ‘Wenger Out’ movement has gathered steam in recent months, but the Arsenal boss has stayed silent on his future despite admitting that he has made his decision.

The survey also revealed that 86 per cent of AST members are unhappy with the Arsenal board with regards to how they have managed the contract situation with Wenger.
Arsenal’s season is in limbo with two months to go – the Gunners sit sixth in the league and must win both of their games in hand to draw level with Liverpool, who currently occupy the final Champions League spot in fourth.
