Manchester City are in talks to sign Benfica's Ederson for what would be a world-record fee for a goalkeeper.
Ederson, 23, signed for Benfica in 2015 and has established himself as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Europe.
Various reports have suggested that City are in talks for the Brazilian with the fee ranging from £35 million (Manchester Evening News) up to £45 million (Sky Sports).
If the fee falls between that gap then Benfica, who completed a domestic double on Sunday, would receive a record-breaking fee for a goalkeeper.
The current record stands at £32.6 million, the fee that Juventus paid to bring Gianluigi Buffon to the club from Parma.
Ederson suggested after the cup final with Benfica that a move was imminent.
City signed Claudio Bravo last summer but the Chilean struggled and was usurped as the club's number by Willy Caballero, who has since been released.
Joe Hart is returning from a season on loan with Torino but the signing of Ederson would cast further doubt over his future.
City have already been active in the transfer market, securing the signature of Bernardo Silva from Monaco for a fee believed to be around £43 million.
