Marcus Rashford: I’ve learned so much from Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford says Zlatan Ibrahimovic has turned him into a better player.
Rashford has played many minutes in wide areas rather than up-front this season in order to accommodate the arrival of summer signing Ibrahimovic.
But the young England international – speaking in an exclusive interview with The Telegraph – says he believes that the experience of playing and training with Zlatan has turned him into a far better player.
“You will see the benefits in years to come,” he said. “What I have learnt from him is irreplaceable.”
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has received criticism from some quarters for his use of Rashford this season. But the player insists that the manager has helped him develop his game in a manner that will reap rewards later in his career.
“His influence on the younger players, especially, is fantastic,” Rashford said. “We want that to continue because he is making us into better players.
“Now, when I go to the left or right, I see it differently to how I pictured it last season. They are things I didn’t have naturally inside me. I didn’t feel uncomfortable in the wide role, but when something is different it takes a while to get used to it."
“For me the development has been going great all the way through," Rashford added. "Next season I think I will have come across most situations that are going to occur.”
The 19-year-old England international has scored three goals in his last five matches to reconfirm that he’s among the brightest English talents to emerge in his generation.
