Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Nabil Fekir whilst Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has a host of options when his contract expires. It's Monday's Paper Round.

Arsenal close in on Fekir

We start with The Express, who have an exclusive that a deal worth over £60 million is "almost done" to bring Nabil Fekir to Arsenal. With Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez set to leave Fekir is seen as a perfect replacement with the Gunners keen to partner him with former team-mate Alexandre Lacazette.
Paper Round's view: In the 2014/15 season Lacazette scored 27 goals and registered six assists in the league. In the same season Fekir scored 13 times with nine assists. The pair were absolutely devastating and were it not for Fekir's torn knee ligaments the following season Lyon could have potentially achieved something special. With Fekir back fit and playing well it makes perfect sense to try and re-unite the pair.

Can to join Dortmund, or Juventus, or Man City?

Some Emre Can transfer news now. Firstly in The Mirror we have a story that Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing Can when his contract expires at the end of the season. They also mention that Juventus are interested in the midfielder.
However in The Star it is reported that in fact Can's preferred destination is Manchester City. Can is reportedly seen by City as a possible replacement for Yaya Toure and is close friends with City winger Leroy Sane.
Paper Round's view: Paper Round has mentioned this before but it still seems incredible that Liverpool won't give Can and his agent the release clause they're asking for. It means they should get some money if he does leave, and he seems resigned to leaving. Furthermore the argument about it setting a precedent is dangerous. If players want to leave they should be allowed to leave, release clause or not.

Liverpool leads North London duo for Gibbs-White

Moving to The Sun who report that Liverpool are leading the chase to sign Wolves' England U17 star Morgan Gibbs-White. The midfielder was part of the England side that won the U17 World Cup, scoring in the final, and he could be on the move in January. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen but Liverpool are thought to be ahead of the duo.
Paper Round's view: After recruiting forward Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster from Chelsea this is more smart business from Liverpool if they can pull it off. Most of the U17 side were already locked down to big clubs so to be able to pick up a player like Gibbs-White would be excellent.

N'Zonzi refuses to rule out Premier League

Finally in The Mirror, some quotes from Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi. The former Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City man has admitted that he "loves" the Premier League but insisted that he is happy in Spain. N'Zonzi was one of the best players in Spain last season and has interest from Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Paper Round's view: Could N'Zonzi move to the Premier League in the future? Yes of course, so could most players. Is he desperate for the move? It certainly doesn't sound like it...
