Chelsea to rival Barca for Athur

We start with a story from the Mirror who report that Chelsea are planning to rival Barcelona for Brazilian sensational Athur. The midfielder was named man of the match when Gremio lifted the Copa Libertadores and has received a call-up to the Brazil national team. Barcelona were believed to be the favourites but Gremio are reportedly unhappy with their conduct and it could open the door to Chelsea if they hit the £44 million release clause.
Paper Round's view: Chelsea need to inject more youth into the squad, although there is an argument that could have been done with the academy players... Besides, Arthur's quotes so far have suggested he would be keen on a move to Spain.

Everton plan Aubameyang bid

Sticking with The Mirror and there is an astonishing back-page exclusive. The report says that Everton are planning a £60 million bid to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund. Everton have the money to make the deal happen and they believe that with every other big club boasting a top striker they have a chance.
Paper Round's view: Whilst it does seem likely that Aubameyang would leave Dortmund it does seems highly unlikely he would go to Everton. Stranger things have happened though. We think...

West Brom fear Evans departure

And it's a hat-trick for The Mirror! Our third story from the paper is that Alan Pardew has admitted that West Brom are scared that they could lose Jonny Evans in January. Arsenal and Manchester City are both reportedly interested in the defender.
Paper Round's view: Evans is an excellent defender, but as Paper Round has discussed before, if Pardew can cash in and strengthen the squad then it makes total sense.

Clement to get January window to rebuild

Finally, in The Telegraph, it is reported that Swansea City will give Paul Clement the January transfer window to rebuild the squad. Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar is likely to be one of the top transfer targets.
Paper Round's view: Clement is the only manager still standing of the current bottom six, every other club bar Swansea has changed the man in the dugout. This would be a big show of faith from the board and the pressure will be firmly on Clement.
