United join race for Sessegnon

Manchester United have joined Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Fulham full-back Ryan Sessegnon according to the Mirror. The 16-year-old has been hugely impressive this season for Fulham in the Championship and United are hoping that their history of developing young players will prove persuasive in their bid.
Paper Round's view: Sessegnon is clearly a very talented young player but surely right now his best bet is to stay with Fulham? Is another couple of years or even a few more going to really stagnate his development? If anything the regular football would probably help him. Of course the lure of a big club may well prove to be too much.

Barca put Bellerin, Hernandez, Coutinho and Verratti on wishlist

According to a report from Spanish outlet AS, Barcelona have Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho on their transfer wishlist for the coming season. Coutinho and PSG midfielder Marco Verratti are the two players who are designated to strengthen the midfield whilst Arsenal's Hector Bellerin and Atletico Madrid's Theo Hernandez are the two players picked for the full-back position.
Paper Round's view: There's something to be said about the fact that Barcelona are keen to sign players rather than promote their own but losing Coutinho would certainly be a huge blow to Liverpool's chances. Especially so soon after him signing a new bumper deal.

Leicester face difficult Shakespeare decision over permanent role

The Telegraph report that now Leicester have secured their safety in the Premier League they are looking at who will lead the club next season. The players are reportedly in favour of manager Craig Shakespeare getting the job on a permanent basis but the board may elect for a more high-profile appointment.
Paper Round's view: It hasn't been all plain sailing but Shakespeare has done what was originally asked of him, and secured Leicester's Premier League status. Claudio Ranieri's dismissal shows the power of player power, and the board would be wise to remember that when they make a decision on Shakespeare's future.

Fury looking to secure fight within a month

Tyson Fury is keen to secure a fight within the next month so he can hold on to Ring Magazine's No.1 belt for the heavyweight division. The Telegraph report that Fury will be allowed to hold onto his belt if he can schedule a fight within a month of the bout between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko. The report also adds that Fury has contacted them saying he is keen to get a fight organised, adding that they believe Joshua is the priority.
Paper Round's view: It's the fight that British boxing fans will be crying out for. Fury could fight Tony Bellew, or Joshua face Deontay Wilder but neither fight whets the appetite quite like the prospect of Joshua facing Fury.
