Jose Mourinho plans special three up front

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to bring Everton striker Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford, along with Antoine Griezmann, and will aim to keep Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club for another season. Howevever, Wayne Rooney could return to Everton on reduced - but still club-record - wages as his time at Manchester United comes to an end.
Paper Round's view: Antoine Griezmann and Romelu Lukaku are better than any of the other forwards at the club, as Anthony Martial has disappeared into himself and Marcus Rashford has yet to entirely convince. Rooney clearly needs to leave. However, United fans will be disappointed to see some younger players either marginalised or forced out of the club after promising so much.

Wenger won't give in to Sanchez contract demands

Arsenal manager has offered Alexis Sanchez almost £300,000 a week in order to stay at the club, as the striker considers offers from Manchester City, Chelsea, and one deal from China worth £400,000. Wenger said: "Some people tell me ‘Just give him what he wants’. But then you cannot respect anymore the wage structure and you put the club in trouble as well. Always, the club has to be the priority."
Paper Round's view: The sentiments are admirable, but they are confused. As football is now a business, Wenger has to start acting as if that is the case. The best players command the biggest wages. Wenger pays his less important players more than many other clubs do, and instead of focussing a productive togetherness, all it seems to do is force his best players out of the club - as he says, the club has to be the priority.

Conte doesn't want anymore sideline aggro with Mourinho

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has downplayed tensions before his side visit Old Trafford. Chelsea need points to cement their Premier League challenge, and United need a win to make up ground on the top four. While there were plenty of arguments between the two managers at Stamford Bridge, Conte said:
“No, no. I don’t like it. I prefer to be more focused on my team. But sometimes it can happen. It’s normal for me and other coaches to have this situation. But if you ask me if I like it or not, I don’t."
Paper Round's view: It would be a very strange manager who said anything different. Conte clearly has no problem with a row on the touchline now and again, but he is not under pressure. He doesn't have to play mind games or wind up Mourinho and United - his team are far stronger and they are almost certain to win the league whatever happens between the side.

Everton to spend in the summer

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has lined up his targets for the summer transfer window. He anticipates losing Lukaku, so is chasing Willian Jose, who has scored 11 in 28 for Real Sociedad. Jordan Pickford is the 'keeper target, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Will Keane are also potential summer transfers.

Paper Round's view: Steve Walsh has a track record of targeting underrated players abroad, so Jose could be a sensible replcement. Pickford is reportedly the best young English keeper in many years, and both Sigurdsson and Keane should be expected to arrive at sensible prices and improve the first team.
