Real Madrid eye De Gea and Courtois

The Mirror have a big transfer story concerning Real Madrid. The report is that Real have switched their goalkeeping target from Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois to Manchester United's David De Gea as they believe they have more chance of landing that deal. It adds that Real still haven't given up on Eden Hazard, and will throw in Alvaro Morata in order to land the Belgian.
Paper Round's view: It is interesting to read that Real think they can land De Gea, after the fiasco of the summer of 2015 when they failed to sign him, but perhaps they've received some encouragement. For Chelsea fans this summer will surely be a big test of where Hazard's loyalties lie.

Man Utd to listen to offers for Shaw

Poor Luke Shaw, it really does appear as if his Manchester United career is over. Manager Jose Mourinho had some very harsh words for him and the Telegraph say that United will listen to offers. He could replace Danny Rose at Spurs, if he moves to Manchester City, whilst United have looked at Benjamin Mendy and Kieran Tierney as possible replacements.
Paper Round's view: Mourinho's treatment of Shaw has been downright baffling. Perhaps he is totally justified in making this call but on the face of it things seem to have gotten out of hand. Whoever brings in Shaw over the summer will be getting an excellent young player who has plenty of room to grow.

Palace prepare bumper Zaha offer

The Guardian report that Crystal Palace are preparing to offer Wilfried Zaha a contract worth £110,000 a week in order to fend off interest from Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Paper Round's view: If it wasn't for Wilfried Zaha Crystal Palace would be probably be relegated, it really is that simple. In a season where for the most part Palace have been poor Zaha has been excellent. He is starting to become more consistent and if Palace are to move to the next level they need to keep hold of him.

Howe confirms intention to sign Wilshere

Despite leaving him out of the team on the weekend Eddie Howe has reiterated his desire to sign loanee Jack Wilshere on a permanent deal. Wilshere has generally done okay since joining Bournemouth on loan and Howe said they'd like to sign him but it rests with Arsenal.
Paper Round's view: Wilshere is one of a number of Arsenal players out of contract in 2018 and at this stage of his career you'd have to think that right now in his career a fresh move away would be for the best.
