Paper Round: £300,000-a-week Raheem Sterling to become Premier League's highest paid player

We start with an exclusive from The Sun who report that Raheem Sterling's new contract at Manchester City could be worth £300,000 a week, that could make him the highest paid player in the league. City are keen to tie Sterling down to a new deal and it could see him overtake Paul Pogba as the league's best earner.

Paper Round's view: Sterling has been one of the best players in the league this season but if he signs a contract this big then what on earth are City going to have to pay Kevin De Bruyne...?

Moving to The Express where there are quotes from Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. The Italian has told the club that it is imperative that new deals are arranged for Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois as soon as possible before they go away to the World Cup with Belgium.

Paper Round's view: For the last two or three seasons, even when they were winning titles, there has been constant chatter about the possibility of these two players moving to Spain. If Chelsea want to keep up with the Manchester clubs and indeed the biggest teams in Europe they have to keep these two players.

The Telegraph are one of a number of papers to run with the line that Gareth Southgate will continue as England manager even if the 2018 World Cup is a complete disaster. Southgate has been told by the FA that he is their man for the long-haul as they look for stability after a turbulent couple of years.

Paper Round's view: This seems like a double-edged sword. On one hand you don't want Southgate to fear for his job at the tournament but on the other you don't want him to take his foot off the gas. However if Southgate is their man then England fans should hopefully look forward to more talented youngsters making their debuts.

Finally in The Mirror there are quotes from two Swansea City players. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has given his backing to under-fire manager Paul Clement whilst defender Martin Olsson has admitted words were exchanged after the 2-1 defeat to Stoke City. However Olsson insisted that it was a positive discussion.

Paper Round's view: Clement is the only manager still standing of the current bottom six, every other club bar Swansea has changed the man in the dugout. Is that the right decision? As long as the players are with him it could be...
