Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Monaco forward Silva, according to a report in the Times.
The player is attracting interest from Manchester United and City, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Monaco hope that the interest of so many of Europe's top clubs will force up the price they can fetch.
Monaco want at least approximately £70 million for his signature, and Chelsea are looking at Silva as a means of improving and growing their squad for a Champions League challenge for next season. Chelsea have done without European football this season but as they are favourites to win the Premier League this season, the Champions League looks a near certainty.

The article mentions that Mauricio Pochettino is also interested in the player, but it is unlikely that Spurs could afford the player, who can play across the front of the attack and as a number 10.
