Tottenham picked up only their second win in 11 games in all competitions as they thrashed Swansea 5-0 at home.
The visitors set up to frustrate Spurs and had been doing so until Dele Alli won a penalty which Harry Kane converted after 39 minutes.
From then on it was one-way traffic as Heung-Min Son, Kane and Christian Eriksen all netted, the latter twice, for the rampant hosts.
Such was Tottenham's dominance that it could have been more but for Lucas Fabianski, while Swansea didn't have a shot on target.
Spurs stay fifth after the win and Swansea are now bottom.

TALKING POINT

Was it a penalty? For all of Tottenham’s dominance, they needed a spot-kick to open the scoring – and as it turned out the floodgates – and Swansea will feel aggrieved about that decision. After latching onto a ball in behind the defence Alli went down with Kyle Naughton nearby and while replays certainly suggested there was contact it was the Spurs man who initiated it by leaving his leg hanging behind the rest of his body. It probably shouldn’t have been a penalty but, with Alli running out the box and away from goal, it was naïve from Naughton to get so close when it was clear his opponent would be playing for a penalty. It would also be disingenuous for Swansea to use this as an excuse for their woeful display once behind.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Harry Kane (Tottenham). Albeit against a very poor defence, his movement was too much for his markers to handle all afternoon and as well as his two goals he also laid on numerous chances for his colleagues. It was far too easy an afternoon for Spurs, but you aren't responsible for you opposition and this was another impressive display from one of the Premier League's best strikers.

KEY MOMENTS

38 - PENALTY! Alli latches onto a ball in behind the defence and Naughton, seemingly accidently, clips him. After a good few seconds Moss says penalty.
39 – GOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Swansea. Kane puts the spot-kick right in the bottom left corner, sending Fabianski the wrong way for good measure.
45+1 - GOAL! Tottenham 2-0 Swansea. After Eriksen's shot is blocked the ball runs to Son, who acrobatically smashes it past Fabianski at the near post. That's a great goal.
49 – GOAL! Tottenham 3-0 Swansea. Spurs break with great speed and Alli puts Son through on goal. Taylor catches up with him and as Son looks to cut back onto his left foot he inadvertently sets up Kane who sidefoots home.
70 - GOAL! Tottenham 4-0 Swansea. Alli, one-on-one with Fabianski sees his shot saved and Eriksen reluctantly nods in the rebound.
90+2’ - GOAL! Tottenham 5-0 Swansea. Sissoko gets in behind the defence and then lays the bal back for Eriksen to sweep home.
