Tottenham Hotspur lose ground on leaders with Leicester draw

Tottenham stuttered to their third straight draw in the Premier League as Leicester City hit back to claim a share of the spoils at White Hart Lane.

Vincent Janssen fired his first league goal from the penalty spot to hand Spurs the advantage moments after Dele Alli had rattled the crossbar, but Leicester scored shortly after the restart through Ahmed Musa.

Spurs rallied in search for a winner, with Jan Vertonghen also hitting the crossbar and firing a late effort just wide, but the visitors held firm.

The result means that Spurs momentarily leapfrog London rivals Chelsea to fourth but the blues have a game in hand.

Vincent Janssen scores his first PL goal in his 10th appearance. He has now scored three goals for Spurs in all competitions, all from penalties.

Ahmed Musa scores in two PL matches in a row after last week's goal vs Crystal Palace. He is now joint top scorer for Leicester in the PL this season with two goals, equal to Vardy and Slimani.

Spurs (W5-D5) have the only remaining unbeaten record in the PL this campaign. The last two PL champions also had the longest unbeaten run from the beginning of the season – Chelsea 14 in 2014/15 and Leicester City 6 in 2015/16.
