West Brom sign Jay Rodriguez from Southampton in £12m deal

West Bromwich Albion have signed striker Jay Rodriguez from Southampton in a £12m deal.

Rodriguez has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, but has scored 32 goals in 126 matches over five years with Southampton.

A knee injury saw him miss the 2014/15 season before ankle surgery in November 2015 restricted the player to only 16 appearances in 2015/16.

The deal represents a profit for Southampton, who paid £7m to sign the player from Burnley five years ago.

Rodriguez has won one England cap earned in a friendly against Chile four years ago.
