Chelsea are keen to appoint former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel as their new manager, according to reports in Germany.
Sport Bild in Germany claims Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is spearheading the London club's push to land Tuchel as a successor to Antonio Conte with an approach already made.
It is also claimed there is a growing tension between Conte and the board over transfer budgets at Stamford Bridge with a new manager already a priority for the English champions.
Granovskaia played a key role in signing Spain striker Diego Costa, a figure who has been axed by Conte as he seeks a move back to Atletico Madrid.
It is claimed Granovskaia and Conte's relationship is at breaking point with the belief that Tuchel is a man more likely to blood younger players.
The 43-year-old spent two years at Dortmund, departing the scene after the club won the German Cup final last season.
