Tuesday’s Paper Round suggests Arsenal will be busy this January, as they look to offload Mesut Ozil for cash and Alexis Sanchez for another player.

Italian side Inter Ozil?

Arsenal will look to cash in on Mesut Ozil this January, with Inter Milan showing a keen interest in the midfielder. The German’s contract runs out next summer, and the Gunners are willing to make some money on the 28-year-old while they still can, the Mirror reports. This comes after Ozil turned down a £275,000-a-week deal at Arsenal, as he is said to be holding out for £350k.
Paper Round’s view: Sure, make money while you still can, but how much can they realistically get for a player who would have barely six months left on their contract? Coming to an agreement will be tricky, but if a wantaway wants away, why not get rid sooner rather than later.

Draxler for Sanchez?

Arsene Wenger wants to make the most of losing Alexis Sanchez by bringing in Julian Draxler, should the Chilean join Paris Saint-Germain. The Star claim the Gunners want to complete a shock January swap deal, with Wenger a long-term admirer of 24-year-old Draxler.
Paper Round’s view: As with Ozil, why not make the most of shipping off Sanchez by bringing in a top-quality replacement. The arrival of Sanchez in Paris would put Draxler’s spot under threat, with the German having started the last four Ligue 1 games, and most recently scoring one and assisting another in the 6-2 win over Bordeaux. However, even if Sanchez does join, there’s no saying Draxler would be keen on a move to Arsenal.

Chiellini chooses (not) Chelsea

The not had to get in the way of our average attempt at alliteration as the report from the Express claims Chelsea target Giorgio Chiellini is close to signing a new contract at Juventus. Blues boss Antonio Conte had wanted the Italian to join him at Stamford Bridge, having managed the defender as both Juve and Italy boss, but the 33-year-old is expected to commit his future to the Turin club.

Paper Round’s view: A sizeable miss for Chelsea in the summer, but it always appeared to be farfetched. While the pen is yet to be put to paper, there is always hope, but Blues fans will only grow concerned at their manager’s longing to return home.

Aubameyang against England

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has no intentions to play in the Premier League. Telefoot reports, via The Sun, that the Borussia Dortmund striker is currently happy in Germany, despite a summer move to PSG falling through. The Gabon international also ruled out a move to England, with Chelsea among those said to be interested. He told Telefoot: "I was never tempted by the Premier League. It's simply a personal opinion."
Paper Round’s view: It’s a shame to think Aubameyang will never grace the Premier League, but it’s not to everyone’s liking. Money, and the potential for greater success in Europe, could yet see him change his mind…
