The Frenchman captained United on Tuesday night in their 3-0 Champions League victory over FC Basel but he had to be substituted early in the first-half after he went down holding his left leg.
He left the stadium on crutches and, speaking directly after the game, his manager Jose Mourinho guessed the midfielder with miss a few weeks.
However, reports from the BBC and various other outlets are now saying Pogba could miss up to six weeks.
He will miss games against Everton, Burton, Southampton, CSKA Moscow, and Crystal Palace and he will reportedly be pushing hard to make the game against Liverpool at Anfield on October 14.
Pogba’s replacement on Tuesday was Marouane Fellaini who opened the scoring and set up Marcus Rashford for the third.
He could come in to partner Nemanja Matic in midfield or Mourinho could pick one or more of Ander Herrera and club captain Michael Carrick for the upcoming games.
