Preston pay tribute to former midfielder Alan Spavin following his death

Preston have paid tribute to former player Alan Spavin who has died at the age of 74.
Spavin, a midfielder in Preston's FA Cup final side in 1964 when they lost to West Ham, captained them to promotion from the old Third Division in 1971 and was named club player of the year.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Alan made over 450 appearances for the Lilywhites and as a mark of respect, the club will hold a minute's applause ahead of kick-off at Saturday's home game against Queens Park Rangers.
"Our sincere condolences go out to Alan's family and friends."
