Sandro Wieser joins Reading on free transfer

Liechtenstein international Wieser, 23, has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Sky Bet Championship club, subject to international clearance.

"Sandro is a left-footed defensive midfield player who has been playing his football out in Switzerland," Reading boss Jaap Stam told the club's official website.

"He is a good passer of the ball, he has a good physique, good technique and I'm sure he will prove a good addition to the squad."

Wieser, who helped FC Thun to a sixth-placed finish in the Swiss top flight last season, progressed through Basel's academy and had a spell with German side Hoffenheim before joining Thun in 2015. He has made 33 senior appearances for Liechtenstein.
