Juventus have completed the signing of Miralem Pjanic from Roma, the club has confirmed.
The 26-year-old completed his medical on Monday and, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, signed a five-year deal worth €4.5m a season.
“Juventus FC have reached an agreement to sign the player Miralem Pjanic from AS Roma,” a statement on the Juventus website read.
The midfielder had a release clause inserted in his contract when he signed a new deal at Roma in 2014 and Juventus activated it.
Pjanic joined Roma from Lyon in 2011 and scored 30 goals in 185 appearances.

After signing Pjanic, Juventus arguably have the best midfield in Europe. The key question, however, is whether the club can keep hold of Paul Pogba this summer after persistent speculation that he is to join another top club.
Certainly, the Pjanic signing can be seen as a big statement of intent from Juve, but equally it may suggest to many that they are already planning for life after Pogba.
