With Financial Fair Play issues, Frank de Boer has effectively split the Inter squad into two distinct teams for Serie A and the Europa League.
Due to FFP, the Nerazzurri were only able to register some of their players for the Europa League.
Joao Mario, Gabigol and Geoffrey Kondogbia would’ve tipped the financial scales, so have been left off the UEFA list.
Tuttosport notes this will effectively allow De Boer to create two distinct teams, one for Serie A competition and the other for the Europa League.
There will be some crossover, above all when it comes to centre-forward Mauro Icardi, as there is no suitable replacement for him on the continent.
Inter in Serie A: Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Miranda, Murillo, Ansaldi; Joao Mario, Banega, Kondogbia; Candreva, Icardi/Gabigol, Perisic
Inter in the Europa League: Handanovic; Santon, Ranocchia, Murillo, Nagatomo; Candreva, Medel, Brozovic; Biabiany, Icardi/Palacio, Eder
